It’s almost here!

To be able to vote in the upcoming election you must register to vote by October 6th (if you do a mail in must be postmarked by October 6th).

How to Register:

• Online Registration: Visit the Alaska Division of Elections website here.
• In-Person Registration: Go to your local Division of Elections office or the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Clerk's office.
• Mail-In Registration: Download a voter registration form from the Alaska Division of Elections website, fill it out, and mail it to the address provided on the form.

How to Check:

• Visit the Alaska Division of Elections website and use the "Voter Information Lookup" tool here.
• Update your voter registration at voterregistration.alaska.gov.
• Call the Division of Elections at 1 (866) 952-8683 (toll-free within the U.S.).

How to Find:

• Use the "Polling Place Lookup" tool on the Alaska Division of Elections website here.
• Check your voter registration card for your polling place information.
• Call the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Clerk's office at (907)861-8683 for assistance.

How to Choose:

• In-Person Voting: Go to your assigned polling place on Election Day.
• Early Voting: View your early voting locations here and the two closest to District 1 are below.

• Absentee Voting: Complete your absentee ballot application here and submit it by mailing, hand-delivering, or faxing your application to the borough clerk's office.

• Mail-In Voting: Follow the instructions provided with your mail-in ballot. You can request a mail-in ballot using the absentee ballot application.

How to Prepare:

• Make a plan: Decide whether you’ll vote in person, early, or by mail.
• Check your polling place hours and location.
• Gather necessary identification documents. Alaska requires ID for in-person voting.
• Review your sample ballot and mark your choices beforehand.

How to Vote:

• In-Person Voting: Go to your polling place, present your ID, show your voter registration card, and cast your ballot (bring your ID).
• Early Voting: final an early voting site near you here and make a plan to vote between October 21st and November 5th.
• Absentee/Mail-In Voting: Complete your ballot following the provided instructions, ensure it is signed, and return it by the deadline (via mail or designated drop-off locations).
